Description
"The King of In-Between" (2015)
20x30" acrylic and collage
And a poem I wrote to go with it:
"The King of In-Between
of places rarely seen
of dreams and sighs
and unheard cries,
Searching for his queen."
The King started as an automatic painting, letting my emotions dictate shape and facial structures, and eventually the colors. As I got further along, I realized he needed to be a king. A king of all the things and people that fall between the cracks, and of the ambiguity surrounding us.
