Beautiful... the sensation of dreaming yet still a tinge of conscious awareness floating above the surface... so tangible in here.

i am really loving all the texturing and paint tricks you are adding to the background. It really adds to how overwhelmed it looks the lying figure is. A great representation of how loud the world can be.

thank you steven!
Yes , quite overwhelming. :)
Interesting to see how you interpret it. (your interpretation makes sense tho)
I didn't see that until you said it.
To me, this was just a world of dreams... the way my mind is full of stuff when I first pop into a dream-state.

The little figure is very delicate. :) Are the yellow, heart-like shapes from imprints of leaves or seed pods or something?

:)
actually, despite their looks, the imprints are just made by squirting some paint on thick paper, squishing it together, (like an ink-blot test) and pressing it to the painting.

This was called decalcomania by the surrealists...and was used extensively by Max Ernst
Congratulations on the win

Ooh thanks! I love finding words for actions I use in painting.
My most recent find was another surrealist term, "enclaboussure" - I use this technique almost every time I use acrylics!

Oooh yeah. and Max Ernst is a favorite of mine.
I really started to appreciate his work more after I saw a documentary on him - how he was touched inside when he saw the badlands for the first time - it was as if his paintings had come to life in the landscape.
