[link]NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE THEFT: Thanks guys for all the concern over the possible idea that my art was stolen by someone for a game - But there really is nothing to worry about - but you guys are so awesome to let me know about it, I am honored to have such watchers!
Thank you to
~Crobela9 for pointing this out ~
"Did you know, that the original concept of this elephant god was made by Frank Belknap Long in the year 1931 and it is called "Chaugnar Faugn"? It's described as "combining the worst aspects of octopus, elephant, and human being".
Don't get me wrong - i find the picture great, but even this has been done before."
And I say:
Indeed, the concept itself is definitely not original.
If anyone stole anything, its the title, which would have been easy to come up with on their own... not too hard. I do attend/ vend my art at gaming conventions, so a lot of people have seen this piece. Its not
impossible that the game monster Cthulhuphant was ~inspired~ by my piece.... but that's about all that can be said.
BUT DON'T WORRY GUYS, I have solid proof of when I created this piece and when I sold the original, so no one can give me legal crap down the road if the ~other~ 'Cthuluphant' gets really popular.
I am so very lucky to have such awesome watchers!!!
if anything, perhaps it will popularize my print. lol.

Don't get me wrong - i find the picture great, but even this has been done before.
I appreciate everyone's concern, but indeed it has been done before, I'll have to put this up in the description page as a little note. *grin*
Personally, mine began as an inside joke. hehe
I'm glad to have some history now to point people too.
Also, I thought the actual entry was made by a CAD community member who entered the contest on that site, which means Fuckley didn't come up with the picture himself.
At least it's not his spider-shark idea that got implemented.
He just took credit for it.
